Anastacia Badillo, M.S., CF-SLP is a bilingual (English/Spanish) speech-language pathologist with extensive experience serving pediatric populations. Anastacia graduated from Abilene Christian University (Abilene, Texas) with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2020 and a Master of Science (MS) in Speech-Language Pathology in 2023. She speaks Spanish and English and is proud to serve bilingual and multicultural populations.

In between her undergraduate and graduate studies, she taught English in early childhood schools in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, España. She has experience working with English and Spanish-speaking children ages one through seventeen in daycares, clinics, and elementary school settings. While studying towards her master’s degree, Anastacia worked as the graduate assistant to the department co-chair and assisted in research on dynamic assessment and teaching first-year graduate students about special topics including trauma-informed care.

Anastacia is passionate about working with the early intervention population and elementary school-aged children. She loves using play-based therapy with her patients and working collaboratively with both her patients and their families. Anastacia is currently completing her clinical fellowship (CF) at Voz Speech Therapy and is thrilled to join the team to continue her work with bilingual pediatric populations.

Anna-Maria was such a gift to our family. My son started working with her during the pandemic. She was incredibly engaging, always got down on the floor with him - and he was always excited to see her and the new games she would introduce to make learning fun! She has a way of working with kids that makes them respect and listen to her. She gave us a "report" after each session to let us know how it went and gave us some easy suggestions to incorporate into our day to day life. We saw a HUGE improvement through our work with her. Her office team was really accessible, and she was always quick to answer any questions. I was a little sad when it was time for us to "graduate" but she also was the first to let us know when he was meeting his milestones and we didn't need to keep coming. My daughter was having issues with stuttering and repeating the last syllable of the word at the end of the sentence. It was causing her not to engage in school or talk with people outside of her family circle.After a few month with Anna, my daughter was volunteering to read out loud in class and feeling confident enough to engage with people outside of her circle.Anna takes the time needed to gain the child’s trust. Ana who was my son's speech therapist brought hope to us. My 2 year old then could not speak correctly and made it extremely difficult to understand him and he will get very upset with us. Dr. Ana is an amazing speech therapist that knows her stuff! Prior to visiting her, our 20 month old daughter had a slight delay in her speech. Dr. Ana not only used age appropriate engaging activities to help our daughter build up her speech, she also provided numerous resources and tips for us to reinforce at home with our daughter. My daughter was so lucky to find Voz. Everyone here has been wonderful. Ana-Maria met with us first and diagnosed my daughter with a condition that is usually overlooked. For therapy, we worked with Jessica. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. Prior to seeing Jessica, my 7-year old was terrified of reading and would use every avoidance tactic in his little tool belt to avoid it. And so began my tireless efforts to seek DC/VA/MA for a dyslexia specialist. I can say, without reservation, that we absolutely won the lottery when we found Jessica Nolasco.In the past, we have used fun instructors who would play lots of games but provided very little value in terms of substantive improvements. But Jessica has an incredible gift of knowing just the right amount to push and challenge him. This has allowed me to give my kid the best wrap-around service that coordinates with his other services.She has been working with my 7-year-old and even within the first short few weeks, we have seen dramatic changes. To truly understand how magical she is....you must understand that we gave her the monumental task of teaching him after a long day of school - when he is completely depleted. But he absolutely loves her. She has managed to gamify reading exercises in an effective way. As most 7-year-olds, he does not suffer fools gladly. If someone came in with a fake singsong-y way, he would turn them away. Thankfully, they have a wonderful and genuine connection. Jessica miraculously managed to break through and get him excited about reading. He actually runs to see her. I repeat, runs to see her.Even his newly assigned school speech therapist said, "I can tell immediately, someone has been working with him". Take it from a picky mom and kid, she is the best. What got in the door was her credentials but what has kept us is her incredible ability to connect and work with my son. We love her!On the business side:Porche, at the front desk, is incredibly lovely! She is there late in the evenings when we have our sessions. She's super kind and goes out of her way to ensure that our sessions are seamless.She processes all of our insurance claims and we have never had any issues. While this is often invisible work -- it is only invisible because she is doing such an amazing job. This allows me to focus on my child's progress rather than muck around with the nasty work of insurance claims.

You will not find a better speech therapist than Ana Maria Jaramillo/VOZ Speech Therapy. Ana worked with my son for 2 + years until he went from limited speech to fluent speech. She is incredibly dedicated, talented, and just a pleasure to be around.
