Summer Carbone

Speech-Language Pathologist

Summer Carbone, M.S., CCC-SLP is a board certified speech language pathologist with extensive experience serving pediatric populations. She received her BA in Communication Disorders and Sciences from William Paterson University (Wayne, NJ) in 2015 and her MS in Speech Language Pathology from The University of Alabama in 2017. She specializes in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).

Summer has worked with many pediatric clients in a variety of clinical settings including early intervention, hospital outpatient, and private practice. In 2021 she completed the Assistive Technology Certification Program through California State University at Northridge to further her education in AAC and other assistive technologies. Additionally, Summer has completed the Inside Out Sensory Certification Course and believes in incorporating sensory regulation strategies into speech therapy sessions to support engagement and language learning.

Summer believes in a neurodiversity affirming, strengths-based, child-led approach to therapy that focuses on building rapport with clients and their caregivers to ensure individualized and collaborative care. Summer is passionate about supporting a total communication approach and supporting communicators of all levels become strong self-advocates.
