Carolina Betancourt joined the Voz Speech Therapy team as the Patient Happiness Specialist and Office Assistant in 2021.

She is a bilingual (English/Spanish) mom of three beautiful children and she loves being part of the Voz team because it allows her to serve bilingual families in a variety of ways. She takes pride in the support she offers to our practice and our patients. Carolina attended the University of Texas in Austin and is a self-proclaimed bookworm. She is also a part-time pilates and barre instructor.

My daughter was having issues with stuttering and repeating the last syllable of the word at the end of the sentence. It was causing her not to engage in school or talk with people outside of her family circle.After a few month with Anna, my daughter was volunteering to read out loud in class and feeling confident enough to engage with people outside of her circle.Anna takes the time needed to gain the child’s trust. Anna-Maria was such a gift to our family. My son started working with her during the pandemic. She was incredibly... engaging, always got down on the floor with him - and he was always excited to see her and the new games she would introduce to make learning fun! She has a way of working with kids that makes them respect and listen to her. She gave us a "report" after each session to let us know how it went and gave us some easy suggestions to incorporate into our day to day life. We saw a HUGE improvement through our work with her. Her office team was really accessible, and she was always quick to answer any questions. I was a little sad when it was time for us to "graduate" but she also was the first to let us know when he was meeting his milestones and we didn't need to keep coming. Ana who was my son's speech therapist brought hope to us. My 2 year old then could not speak correctly and made it... extremely difficult to understand him and he will get very upset with us. Dr. Ana not only used age appropriate engaging activities to help our daughter build up her speech, she also provided numerous resources and tips for us to reinforce at home with our daughter.
